Cervical Radiculopathy is the result from one of the nerve roots near the cervical vertebrae being compressed, damage or disturbance of nerve functions is then typically experienced. Depending on where the never is pinched along the spine, pain and other issues can affect different areas of the body. Damage to nerve roots in the cervical area can cause pain and the loss of sensation in various upper extremities, depending on where the damaged roots are located.

Cervical Radiculopathy is commonly linked to ruptured discs, degeneration in bone structure, arthritis and other injuries that can cause pressure on nerve roots. Pain medication, physical therapy, herniated disc treatment and corrective surgery are all treatments for Cervical Radiculopathy.
