Facet Joint Syndrome PDF Print E-mail

The facet joints are the articulations/connections between vertebrae in the spine. Much like other joints, they enable bending and twisting motions of the spine. Facet joints can become inflamed as a result of arthritis or from a back injury. When joints in the neck and spine are disrupted, typically neck and back pain, headaches and difficulty in head rotation follow.

Common symptoms related to Facet Joint Syndrome are neck or back pain, discomfort in the lower back and thighs, headaches and occasionally difficulty walking. If you're experiencing one or more of these symptoms you should consult with a specialist immediately.

Our team of expert back specialists are leading doctors for pain management in New Jersey.
