One condition, known as peripheral neuralgia, occurs when the nervous system is damaged. Due to the fragile nature of the nervous system, this painful ailment can be brought on as a result of disease, surgical damage, and physical trauma among a number of other potential causes. As a result of this damage, sufferers feel intense pain in specific portions of the body (which vary from person to person) and other sensations such as steady burning or pricking.
